Hashtag governance
Current hashtag governance facts for Slash Social.
What it includes
Hashtag governance helps you manage hashtag sets, posting rules, and performance signals so each brand stays consistent across platforms. Admins, creators, and approvers use the Insights work center and the Hashtag Hub to maintain library content, enforce rules at post time, and review how tags perform.
How to use it
Plan access: Check access for your organization in Plan comparison and Usage limits. This feature is documented with a Team plan access prerequisite.
Where to open it:
- Type
/socialand switch to Insights. - In the Hashtag Performance section, choose Open Hashtag Insights.
- Or search for hashtags in the command palette and open the Hashtag Hub.
The Hashtag Hub combines Library and Insights tabs. Library holds your sets and policies. Insights shows top performers, rising tags, and underperforming tags for the last 30 days.
What you can do:
| Area | Actions |
|---|---|
| Sets | Create and edit hashtag sets, add tags to a set, open set detail, reorder set items |
| Rules | Edit brand hashtag rules that govern validation at post time |
| Library | Manage individual hashtags, including blocked, core, campaign, experimental, and deprecated statuses |
| Insights | Review engagement trends by platform, open full analytics from the hub |
| Capture | Save hashtags from posts into sets when capture flows are available |
Hashtag validation runs when you create or edit posts. Blocked or required tags surface before publish.
Who can use it: Admins, creators, and approvers with access to Insights for the active brand.
How to confirm it is working: Saved sets and rules appear in the Hashtag Hub for the active brand. Insights cards populate after published posts include tracked hashtags and analytics sync completes.
