Interactive weekly planning
Review current interactive weekly planning behavior, availability, limits, and operating details for Slash Social.
Move through weekly planning stages from one Slack-native week view instead of opening separate screens for each day.
Overview
The weekly Plan view sits in the Plan work center and shows each day of the current week with cadence status at a glance. When interactive planning is enabled for your workspace, you can click days and slots to open planning actions without leaving App Home.
This capability is scoped to the week rail affordance inside interactive planning. It is not a separate planning workflow or pricing add-on.
What it includes
| Indicator | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Green | On cadence with scheduled or published slots |
| Yellow | Light coverage relative to targets |
| Red | Empty or missing planned slots |
| Gray | Off day or weekend with no expectation |
Platform abbreviations on each day show which accounts have slots. Conflict, disconnected account, blackout, and permission states use distinct markers so you can fix blockers before publish.
Lifecycle: Launch.
Personas: Admin, creator, and approver roles can use the rail where their permissions allow.
When interactive planning is not enabled for your workspace, the weekly view still shows schedule status but day actions stay read-only. See Plan comparison and Feature modes for how your plan configures this capability.
Advanced apply and reschedule paths remain part of the broader interactive planning workflows rather than a standalone week rail workflow.
How to use it
- Open App Home and switch to Plan.
- Scroll to the Week of … view that shows each day with cadence status colors.
- When clicks are enabled, select a day or slot to open planning actions for that window.
- Step through the week without leaving the Plan work center. Today is highlighted separately from the rest of the week.
Common actions from the weekly view include adding a post to a slot and viewing slot detail.
Details
- Slot counts in the weekly view should match calendar detail for the same week.
- Clicking an interactive day should open the expected planning modal or next step.
- Cadence, home views, and queue configuration workflows all feed the data behind the weekly view.
- Week rail actions require interactive planning access and a user role that can create, approve, or manage brand planning work.
