Slack Canvas knowledge
Current slack canvas knowledge facts for Slash Social.
Slack Canvas knowledge uses Slack canvases as living source material for brand knowledge. Link a canvas to a knowledge item, sync updated text, and reuse that context when drafting content.
What it includes
| Action | Result |
|---|---|
| Link canvas | Store the canvas URL on a knowledge item |
| Sync | Refresh entry body text from the linked canvas |
| Scope | Attach canvas knowledge at brand, pillar, or campaign scope when the form offers it |
| Browse | Filter knowledge items that list a canvas source |
Synced text feeds AI-assisted drafting and planning when the entry is enabled for AI context.
Canvas actions need Slack canvas permissions. If link or sync fails, ask an admin to reinstall Slash Social with canvas access.
How to use it
- Open the knowledge hub under Settings and choose Link Canvas on an entry.
- DM Slash Social a Slack canvas link and choose Sync canvas to knowledge base on the intake card.
- Use canvas row actions in knowledge lists when your workspace shows them.
Admins, creators, and approvers can use this feature from the Create work center. Surfaces include App Home messages, create modals, and settings modals.
Pick brand, pillar, or campaign scope on the link form when those options appear so canvas knowledge lands in the right planning context. Re-sync after major canvas edits so AI-assisted drafting uses current text.
