Canvas library index
Current canvas library index facts for Slash Social.
Canvas library index keeps Slack canvases searchable inside Slash Social. Link a canvas to a knowledge item, sync updated canvas text, and browse canvas-backed entries from the knowledge hub. Indexed canvases stay tied to the brand you select during link or intake.
What it includes
- Link a Slack canvas as the source for a knowledge item
- Sync knowledge text from the linked canvas when the source changes
- Browse and filter knowledge items that list a canvas source
- Synced content feeds AI-assisted drafting and planning when knowledge is enabled for the brand
Canvas indexing needs Slack canvas permissions. If canvas actions fail, ask an admin to reinstall Slash Social with canvas access.
How to use it
- Type
/socialand open Create or Settings, then open Knowledge (or the knowledge hub for your workspace). - Link a Slack canvas to a knowledge item from the knowledge detail or canvas link flow.
- When you DM Slash Social a Slack canvas link, choose Sync canvas to knowledge base on the intake card.
Admins, creators, and approvers can use this feature from the Create work center.
Run sync again after you edit the source canvas in Slack so knowledge text matches the latest version. The hub lets you filter to canvas-backed items when you need to audit which entries pull from live canvases. DM intake gives you a second path when teammates share canvas links outside the knowledge hub.
