Sentiment alerts

Current sentiment alerts facts for Slash Social.

What it includes

Sentiment alerts classify conversation tone and flag spikes before they become channel noise. Admins, creators, and approvers configure thresholds, review flagged threads, and route escalations from the Insights work center and Engage surfaces in Slack.

How to use it

Plan access: Included on Team and Scale. Not included on Free or Starter. See Plan comparison and Usage limits.

Where to open it:

  1. Open App Home and switch to Engage or Inbox.
  2. Open sentiment alert configuration from Engage cards or conversation actions when sentiment tools are visible for your plan.
  3. Configure thresholds in the sentiment alerts modal.

Social listening setup can also trigger alerts on negative sentiment when that option is enabled for a keyword.

What you can do:

ActionUse it when
Configure alertsYou need tone thresholds and notification targets for the brand
Draft responseA flagged conversation needs a reply drafted from the alert
EscalateA spike should notify additional teammates or channels
View all alertsYou need the full alert list for the brand

Conversation rows can open sentiment context when a thread is already linked to monitoring. Classification covers positive, negative, neutral, and question tone before alerts fire. Alert settings stay tied to the active brand, so teams can tune response paths without changing other brands.

Who can use it: Admins, creators, and approvers with access to Insights and Engage surfaces for the active brand.

How to confirm it is working: After you save alert settings, new negative or spike events appear as sentiment alerts for the brand. Escalated alerts notify the targets you configured.
