Brand mention alerts

Current brand mention alerts facts for Slash Social.

What it includes

Brand mention alerts catch when monitored terms match public conversation about your brand and route matches into response or follow-up work inside Slack. The feature lives in the Insights work center and is available to admins, creators, and approvers on eligible plans.

How to use it

Plan access: Included on Team and Scale. Not included on Free or Starter. Brand mention monitoring ships with social listening on eligible plans. See Plan comparison and Usage limits.

Setup and review:

  1. Ask an admin to configure listening keywords that include your brand handle or name. See Social listening for the setup path.
  2. Review matches from listening alerts in Slack when your role has access.
  3. Open matched threads from the inbox when alerts create or link conversations.

What alerts cover: Matches surface when monitored terms hit public posts, comments, or tags on the platforms selected for that keyword. Alerts respect the same trigger options as listening setup, including negative sentiment and high-reach thresholds.

Typical response path:

  1. Open the alert or inbox thread for the mention.
  2. Reply from the inbox flow when a public response is appropriate.
  3. Dismiss the alert when no action is needed.

How alerts are sent: After listening matches are analyzed, Slash Social checks alert triggers and sends Slack notifications when conditions you configured are met.

Who can use it: Admins, creators, and approvers on eligible plans with access to listening and inbox surfaces for the brand.

Listening providers return public thread and message data (author, text, and reach signals where available) that Slash Social matches against your keyword rules.

How to confirm it is working: A test keyword that matches a recent public mention should appear as a listening alert or inbox item for the configured brand.
