Manage influencer inputs
Follow the manage influencer inputs workflow in Slack.
Goal
Track influencer handles, tiers, and CRM links so campaign and Engage workflows share one relationship record per creator. This workflow keeps creator metadata in one place instead of scattered notes or spreadsheets.
When to use this
Use this workflow when your team coordinates influencer content and needs one record for each creator tied to your brand.
Typical uses:
- Onboarding a new creator before a campaign draft.
- Updating tier or status when a partnership changes.
- Linking a creator to a CRM contact for Engage context.
- Filtering the roster by platform, tier, or status before outreach.
This workflow is not available in every workspace. It requires influencer management on a Scale plan and an active brand.
Before you begin
Confirm you have:
- Influencer management on a Scale plan.
- An active brand selected in App Home before opening the dashboard.
- CRM connected if you plan to link contacts (see Match CRM contacts and log touchpoints).
Steps
Open the Influencers dashboard
- Open App Home and switch to the Engage work center.
- On the Influencers card, choose Open Dashboard.
- Or type
/social, search for Influencers, and open the list.
The influencers list enforces plan access and active brand context before it opens.
Add an influencer
- Choose Add Influencer.
- Enter platform, handle, display name, tier, and status.
- Submit. Handles are normalized on submit. Default tier and status apply when you leave those fields blank.
- Duplicate platform-and-handle pairs return a remediation message instead of creating a second row.
Filter and maintain records
- Use platform, tier, and status filters on the list. Filters persist when you reopen the modal.
- Open a row to view details, edit fields, or link the influencer to a CRM contact.
- Choose Unlink CRM when the contact should no longer drive Engage context for that creator.
Edit flows open a dedicated edit modal. View actions show detail surfaces including CRM linkage when present.
You can also open influencer context from CRM-linked Engage surfaces when your team starts outreach from a matched contact.
Link CRM contacts
From an influencer detail view, start CRM link when your workspace has CRM integration. Match the influencer to the correct contact so Engage workflows can use shared context. Unlink when the mapping is stale or incorrect.
CRM linkage is optional. Creators without a CRM contact still appear in the influencer list and accept tier and status updates.
Success criteria
You have finished the relevant branch when:
- New influencers appear in the filtered list with the platform, handle, tier, and status you entered.
- Edits persist after you close and reopen the list.
- Filters you set remain applied on the next open.
- Linked CRM contacts show on the influencer detail view.
- Unlinked influencers no longer show the previous CRM mapping.
Troubleshooting
The Influencers card or list is missing
Confirm your workspace is on a Scale plan with influencer management. Select an active brand in App Home and reopen Engage. See Billing, plans, and limits for plan details.
Duplicate handle error on create
An influencer with that platform and handle already exists. Open the existing row and edit it instead of creating a second record.
Filters show an empty list
Clear or broaden platform, tier, or status filters. Confirm the active brand matches the creators you expect to manage.
CRM link fails or contact not found
Confirm CRM is connected and the contact exists in your CRM system. See the Engage CRM workflow for connection prerequisites.
Action does not open a modal
Retry from the Influencers list. If an error includes a reference ID, share it with support.
Tier or status looks wrong after edit
Reopen the influencer detail view. Edits save on submit; confirm you closed the edit modal with a successful submit rather than cancel.
Need to find one creator quickly
Set platform and handle filters together. The list stays scoped to your active brand, so switching brands in App Home changes which creators appear.
