Voice note transcription
Current voice note transcription facts for Slash Social.
Turn voice notes you send the bot into text you can save, draft from, or add to brand knowledge.
Plan access
Requires the Team plan or higher. This feature is in beta.
Where to find it
- Open a direct message with Slash Social.
- Record or upload a voice note (common audio formats such as MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG, and WebM).
- Wait for the intake card. When transcription is enabled, the card updates with the spoken text after processing finishes.
Voice notes that exceed the maximum file size or use unsupported formats show a clear error on the intake card instead of failing silently.
What happens next
Transcribed text behaves like a typed note on the intake card. You can:
- Open a draft with the transcription as context
- Save as an idea
- Add to the media library with transcript attached
- Continue into repurpose flows when the transcript includes usable hooks
Transcription runs in the background and may take longer for long recordings. The card refreshes when text is ready.
Limits
Transcription consumes AI generation quota for your organization. Unsupported or oversized files are rejected before transcription starts.
Verify
The intake card shows readable text matching your voice note. Choosing Draft or Save as idea carries the transcript into the next modal.

Usage note
Use this page as a lookup when a workflow, plan comparison, or troubleshooting guide mentions Voice note transcription. Confirm the active brand, connected account, and workspace plan before promising the capability to a customer. If the article marks the feature as not launch-ready or hidden, treat it as operator context and do not describe it as available in customer onboarding.
When the page lists plan availability, compare it with Plan comparison and Usage limits rather than old sales names. When availability is not stated, avoid inventing a plan gate; verify access in Billing & Plan from Settings. Capture the workspace, brand, feature name, and blocker text before you contact support.
