How-to guide

Review My support cases

Follow the complete Slack workflow to review my support cases, including prerequisites, decisions, and recovery steps.

Goal

Review the support cases that you personally reported from the current Slack workspace. Use this workflow to check a request’s subject, category, received state, or submitted detail without exposing support operations, brand data, or another reporter’s history.

When to use this

Use My support cases after you have reported a support request and want to review what Slack can show you. You can also use it after a related brand changes or is deleted. The history does not depend on the active brand or current brand membership, so a historical case can remain eligible when your authenticated reporter, organization, and workspace still match.

Do not use this workflow to find a case reported by a teammate. The view intentionally shows only the current reporter’s eligible local history.

Before you begin

Confirm that you are signed in to the Slack workspace where you reported the case. Open App Home and make sure you can open Help & Account. The feature is in public beta and is available to authenticated workspace users.

You do not need to select an active brand. Do not copy, edit, or reuse button values from Slack. The navigation controls are encrypted for the current reporter and expire after a short period. Slack safely rejects a control that is malformed, expired, associated with another reporter, or used in another organization or workspace.

Steps

  1. In App Home, open Help & Account.
  2. Select My support cases.

Slack opens the My support cases modal. Each row shows a case subject, category, and received state. The list contains only cases that you reported and that Slack can currently authorize for your organization and workspace.

If the modal shows No support cases are available to show., Slack cannot safely show an eligible item. This can mean that you have no eligible local history. It can also mean that a navigation request did not pass the reporter-only checks. The message does not reveal which condition applies.

Open a case detail

  1. In My support cases, find the case subject you want to review.
  2. Open Select a support case and choose the case.

Slack opens Support case. The detail contains the subject, category, received state, and your submitted detail when it is available. It does not show the case reference, internal identifiers, brand identity, confidentiality fields, delivery details, operator notes, or internal support work.

  1. Select Back to return to the list.

Slack reauthorizes you and rereads the eligible local history when it handles this navigation. If the case no longer passes the current reporter-only check, Slack returns the generic no-cases result instead of identifying the case or explaining why it is unavailable.

Move through the list

Use the controls at the bottom of My support cases to review the current history.

Control What it does
Next Opens the next eligible page when more cases are available.
Refresh Rereads the current eligible list from local case data.
Back Returns from a case detail to the eligible list.

Select Refresh if you expect a recently reported case or a recent update to appear. An older valid control can still be used for this purpose; Slack checks your current authenticated reporter context and reads the data again rather than trusting a previous result.

Confirm it worked

You have completed the workflow when My support cases shows only your eligible local cases and you can open a selected case with Select a support case. In the detail, confirm that the subject, category, received state, and submitted detail match the request you recognize. Use Back to confirm that the list remains reporter-only.

When there are no eligible results, the modal displays No support cases are available to show. That result is expected for both an empty history and a request that cannot be safely associated with an eligible case. It does not provide a diagnostic you can use to infer another reporter’s case history.

Troubleshooting

The list says no support cases are available

Open Help & Account again and select My support cases from the new App Home view. Confirm that you are in the Slack workspace where you reported the request. If the result remains the same, treat it as a safe no-case response. Slack does not distinguish an empty history from an expired, foreign, unknown, or unauthorized navigation request.

The list is temporarily unavailable

When Slack shows Support cases are temporarily unavailable. Please try again., wait briefly and open My support cases again from Help & Account. This message indicates that Slack could not read the local history. It does not include repository or operational details.

A case detail does not open

Return to Help & Account and select My support cases again. Then choose the case from Select a support case in the refreshed list. Do not reuse an old control value or a control received from someone else. If the refreshed view still cannot show the case, Slack uses the no-cases result to protect reporter-only history.
