War room sessions

Current war room sessions facts for Slash Social.

What it includes

War room sessions open a focused Slack response room for sensitive social moments. Active sessions match incoming conversations by keyword and hashtag, mirror matched threads into the war room channel, and post a root control message your team uses to pause, refresh, or stop the session. Admins, creators, and approvers reach war room from the Engage work center.

How to use it

Plan access: Requires the Scale plan. Not included on Free, Starter, or Team. See Plan comparison for details.

Where to find it:

  1. Open App Home and switch to Engage.
  2. Open war room from the Engage card when it appears for your plan.
  3. Or open /social, search for Incident Mode, and run the action.

Select the active brand before you start a session.

Session controls: After you start a session, Slash Social posts a root message in the target channel with controls:

ControlUse it when
PauseAuto-refresh should stop temporarily
ResumeA paused session should run again
RefreshMetrics and summary text should update now
View detailsYou need the session metrics modal
StopThe incident is over

Recap: Open /social and search for recap during or after an incident to generate a private Slack summary for the active brand.

Matching behavior: New inbox conversations that match session keywords or hashtags can be mirrored into the war room channel while the session is active.

How to confirm a session: An active session shows a root thread with working pause, resume, refresh, and stop actions. Stopping the session updates the root message with a stopped state.
