How to use this tool
- Enter likes, comments, shares, and saves from the same post or reporting scope.
- Choose reach, impressions, or followers and enter its count from the same scope.
- Compare only results that use the same metric definition and denominator.
A worked example
100 likes + 20 comments + 10 shares + 10 saves = 140 engagements. With reach of 2,000, the rate is 140 ÷ 2,000 × 100 = 7%.
Use the prefilled example to explore the output, then replace it with your own inputs. Review dates and responsibilities with your team before using the result.
Common questions
What is a good engagement rate?
There is no universal threshold here. Platform, format, audience, denominator, and objectives affect interpretation. This calculator uses an explicit custom formula rather than claiming a platform’s native definition.
